I am a protein biochemist and structural biologist interested in host-pathogen interactions and how antibodies inhibit infection. I have over 10 years of experience with investigating pathogen proteins and their interactions with host-cell receptors and neutralising antibodies.
Currently, I use integrative structural biology approaches, including X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM, and biophysical techniques to study large protein complexes involved in malaria parasite fertilisation and investigate the mode of inhibitory antibodies and nanobodies to develop novel therapeutical tools against malaria.
